HTC fans, it’s time to celebrate – the company just teased everyone with an invite for a new product unveiling. How soon? Why, as soon as March 2015.
The Taiwanese mobile device manufacturer announced the imminent launch of a new flagship device, which it declared by sending media invites to a press event in Barcelona on the first day of March. Not a coincidence, given that it's just a day before the biggest mobile-related event, Mobile World Congress, is held from 2 to 5 March in the same location.
It has managed to stay mum about what exactly this device will be. The only indication is a tagline that says “Utopia in progress, join us to see what’s next”, alongside what looks like a shining star in outer space. Sadly, there weren’t any other clues in the invite.

Sources are speculating that it might be the HTC One (M9) Hima, a 5in, full-HD smartphone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, and boasting 3GB of RAM and a 2840mAh battery.
Or could it be the alleged HTC Hima Ace Plus, the 5.5in device that's said to come with a bezel-free edge-to-edge display, a quad-HD display, a 20MP rear snapper and a 4MP front-facing selfie camera, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 3000mAh battery.
But, there’s also a chance for HTC to totally blindside us in our speculations by launching something new altogether. Which, by the way, it’s done before at its HTC Double Exposure event last year. Here’s hoping that HTC drops us a few more hints in the lead-up to the launch.
