How Samsung is handling the Galaxy Note 7 recall in Singapore

UPDATE: Instructions for Galaxy Note 7 exchange in Singapore

From 16 September to 2 October, you'll be able to exchange your current Note 7 for a brand new one.

Sign up for the exchange

To be eligible for the exchange, you’ll need to book a timeslot online during the booking window from 9 to 25 September. You’ll then be able to swap your device for a new one in the same colour, via self-collection at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre or via free home delivery.

All exchanged Note 7 warranties will also be extended to commence from the exchange date, and the programme extends to customers who have bought the phone from local telcos, major electronics stores, authorised mobile retailers, Samsung Experience Stores and the Samsung Lazada Singapore Online Store.

Standby devices are also available for loan to Galaxy Note 7 customers in Singapore, while they wait for their Galaxy Note 7 exchange.

Meanwhile, users in other countries have been given the option to exchange the Galaxy Note 7 for a Galaxy S7 or a Galaxy S7 Edge, with a refund of the price difference.

Samsung is also offering a US$25 gift card of bill credit from select carriers in the US, and while Samsung itself didn't state the option for a full refund, T-Mobile in the US has offered its customers full refunds on the purchase of a Galaxy Note 7.
