This is how much you'll pay for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge from Singtel

Pre-order now and you'll get Samsung's latest smartphone on 11 March

We figure you're dying to know how much you'll have to pay for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge with a two-year contract. So we'll begin with Singtel's offer.

For the Galaxy S7, a two-year contract with Singtel could drop the phone to absolutely free or go as high as S$658. The former, of course, means you'll have to sign up for the most expensive plan at S$239.90 per month while the latter is the lowest S$27.90 plan. Total cost, you ask? A massive S$5757.60 if you're on the highest plan, while the lowest will cost you S$1327.60 over two years.

If you want the most value-for-money option, consider the Combo 2 plan which costs S$42.90 per month. It'll cost S$1577.60 over two years but you're getting more data (2GB compared to the paltry 100MB on Combo 1).

Similarly, for the Galaxy S7 Edge, you're also looking at a few options. The phone will cost up to S$748 if you're aiming for Combo 1. Again, not the best option in the Combo range, so we'd suggest you gun for Combo 2, which brings the cost of the phone to S$628.

There is a third option - Easy Mobile. This customisable mobile plan from Singtel lets you switch around your talktime, SMS and data bundle every month. This means you can adjust more units to get more data and talktime while reducing the SMS to a mere 250 since you won't be using it that much.

For this, the starting plan at S$33 per month will bring the cost of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge to S$658 and S$748 respectively. Over two years, you're looking at S$1450 and S$1540. You will be getting less data than the Combo 2 plans but at least you won't be overpaying for your unused SMS.

There's the final option to get the phones without contract at S$998 and S$1098 for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge respectively. And if you need an accompanying SIM only plan, we've outlined the costs for Singtel, M1 and StarHub. The upside to this? You aren't bound to a telco for two years. The caveat? In the same two-year period, you're paying more.

Two-year period price comparison and data bundle

Given that your biggest concern would be the amount of data you get, here's a quick comparison of the similar plans from Singtel.

SIM-only (3GB): S$1718

Combo 2 (2GB): S$1577.60

Easy Mobile S (Customisable up to 1.5GB): S$1450
