This is how much the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will cost you in Singapore

Prices and availability for the new Galaxy Note, all in one place

The world has been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 - and what a powerful feature-filled phablet it is.

The Infinity Display from the Galaxy S8 makes its Note debut for near-zero bezels, plus more cool stuff you can use your S Pen with, and the first dual camera Samsung phone. On the rear is a pair of wide angle and telephoto 12MP cameras with Dual Pixel tech, OIS and background blur control - either before of after your shot.

And we haven’t even gotten to the quick App Pair shortcut to open your two favourite apps split-screen, or the generous new features added to the Samsung DeX when the Galaxy Note 8 is plugged in.

Are you pumped up and ready to own the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8? Read this first before you make the plunge:

How much will it cost?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 arrives officially on Singapore shores 15 September at S$1398 (inclusive GST) in Midnight Black, Maple Gold and Orchid Gray (sorry, no blue again for now).

But if you pre-order the device from 25 August onwards, you’ll be one of the first on the island to walk away with the Galaxy Note 8 - on 9 September, to be exact.

To complete the desktop look, pre-order customers also can get:

  • 20% off the RRP of the Microsoft Wireless All-In-One Media Keyboard (RRP S$53) OR 25% off the RRP of a Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Desktop (RRP S$139)
  • S$200 off the RRP of a Samsung C27F397 Curved Monitor (RRP $498)

These bonuses are redeemable at Lazada or in the case of the Microsoft devices, at all Microsoft participating retailers.

I love a good telco deal

You’re ready to make the jump to the Galaxy Note 8 with your favourite telco of choice. Great! Then you should register your interest with your preferred telco.

If you missed the boat but still want to sign with a telco, each offer walk-ins for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 - Just no Samsung DeX along. Or you can pick Circles.Life, its registration of interest is still open on the site. There's the same 20 GB for S$20, no contracts and no upfront payment deal on offer.

With M1, there are six plans to choose - From the S$28 Lite plan with 300MB data (phone price S$1098) to the most expensive Max+ plan at S$228 a month (phone price S$198).

Singtel also offers six plans, with the final S$239.90 Combo 12 that gives 12GB Local Data, Unlimited Minutes + Unlimited SMS capping the Galaxy Note 8 at $198. Or choose instead the telco's Easy Mobile Plan so you can fully customise the talktime, data and SMS you want (calculated as units).

StarHub gives you five plans to pick between, the cheapest being XS at S$48 a month (phone price S$949) and topping out at the S$238 a month XL plan (phone price S$199). Then there's also the unlimited data on weekends too for those keen to surf the web on mobile throughout the day.

I prefer no contracts

That’s ok too - Starting 25 August, you can make a pre-order at the Samsung Store online or if you’re iffy about shipping your Galaxy Note 8, there's the walk-in route instead. Head to any of these Samsung Experience Stories to place a S$100 deposit to secure your new phablet.

Once you’re there, you will also be able to choose your preferred collection point and appointment time slots from either:

  • Galaxy Studio (The Plaza, VivoCity Level 1) or
  • Selected Samsung Experience Stores (to be announced)

I'm too busy, I have to wait after its launched
