Google updates for iOS Maps lets you send destinations to your phone

Now your iPhone-carrying phones have no excuse to get lost

When it comes to Google's apps, iOS users will always have to play second fiddle for updates — most of the time. The latest Maps app update means that you can open up Google Maps on the desktop, zoom in on the destination and then send it to your phone.

For this to work seamlessly, you will need to make sure notifications are turned on, at least for the Maps app.

The notification will contain the address you chose and give you options on getting directions or instead turning on navigation mode. Other changes: being able to view your reviews and photos from Your Places as well as the ability to edit business hours of listings on maps. Haven't updated or haven't gotten the app for your phone? A quick visit to the App Store will fix that.
