The Gionee M6 and M6 Plus have batteries that can go on, and on

Pokémon Go players might find this pretty useful

Gionee's just recently launched two new phones in China, namely the Gionee M6 and Gionee M6 Plus.

The phones are both fairly large phablets, with Gionee touting them as super-secure, thanks to a dedicated security chip with ten layers of protection. They boast large batteries as well: the 5.5in M6 has a 5000mAh battery, while the 6in M6 comes with a 6020mAh battery. Thanks to the unusually large batteries and reverse charging capabilities, both phones can also be used to charge other devices.

Powering the M6 is a 1.8Ghz octa-core MediaTek MT6755 processor with 4GB RAM, although the M6 Plus' processor is clocked at 2Ghz. You get a choice of 64 and 128GB storage with microSD expandability.

Camera-wise, the M6 has a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, a fingerprint sensor, and an 8MP front cam. The M6 Plus, on the other hand, has a 16MP rear camera.

Currently, both models come in Gold and Latte colour choices and are due to launch sometime in August. Prices have yet to be announced at press time.
