The fat-screened LG G6 is making its way to town, fresh from its MWC debut.
The 5.7in G6 comes in a unique 18:9 display format for more immersive Netflix bingeing on the MRT (in HDR no less, thanks to Dolby Vision tech). The additional screen real estate means you get room to do more, including seeing a helpful strip of your recently taken photos within your camera app too. Worried about apps not being optimised? You can switch back to the traditional 16:9 format too.
The dual cameras on the G6’s rear are both 13MP for you to switch seamlessly between the wide-angle and standard lenses. The 5MP front camera also has an increased field of view so you don’t have to suffer the embarrassment of using a selfie stick in public. Given the rise of Instagram, LG is committing to a new Square Camera mode that will allow you a range of creative options. Sometimes you don’t have to think out of the box to think out of the box, if you know what we mean.
The LG G6 runs on a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage that’s expandable up to 2TB and a non-removeable 3300mAh battery. It comes with newly acquired swim capabilities courtesy of IP68-rated water resistance, as well as a new desire to know you via Google Assistant.
The dual SIM G6 is available in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Mystic White from 14 April at your friendly neighbourhood telco or authorised LG retailer. It will cost you S$988 and come with a free flip case worth S$58. That’s only while stocks last though, so get in there quick.
