Bioware has released a free version on the PC, something like a trial version. It basically allows you to play the game for 6 hours in the open world RPG’s single player campaign. If after the six hours you are hooked, then you can purchase the full game and your progress in the last six hours will be brought forward.
However, a plus point is that for the multiplayer mode, there is no limit to how many hours you want to play. There are even free multiplayer packs that you can download and you can also play multiplayer with other players who bought the full game.
Rumour has it that Bioware is working on a DLC for Dragon Age : Inquisition but not for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. There is no announcement on the DLC yet but expect it to be soon.
