New alleged photos of a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active surfaced today, showing off a departure from Samsung's usual sleek and smooth design. But with good reason.
The Active series of Galaxy handsets have always been designed with toughness in mind, and these shots of the upcoming Galaxy S6 Active show off a bulky, rugged exterior that looks like it can take quite a beating.
The physical navigation buttons on the front have replaced the capacitive ones found on the the vanilla S6 and S6 Edge, and the home button may lack a fingerprint reader, much like last year’s S5 Active.
We don’t have much on the specs other than that the S6 Active will be fitted with a beefy 3,500mAh battery which is much larger than the regular S6’s 2,550mAh battery. Aside from that, the rest of the specs may be similar to the standard S6.
With everything in place, we don’t think that we will have to wait that long for the S6 Active to be launch, probably towards the end of May and the beginning of June.
