App fanatics and M1 subscribers, here’s how you can OD on apps from 8th November.

The app subscription, which made its debut on M1’s Internet TV service MiBox in July 2013, will be extended to its mobile subscribers. Starting from this Friday, Mobiroo, in collaboration with M1, will offer app-hungry users a buffet of more than 800 delicious games and apps for just S$5.35 a month.

Downloadable onto a maximum of three Android devices, current M1 subscribers will enjoy a free 7-day trial and a free Electronic Arts game download of either Plants vs. Zombies or Bejeweled 2 when the service is launched.

A fuel-free world

If it all goes swimmingly, we should be seeing solar-powered cars hitting the roads in the near future.

Already approved for European roads, the solar powered and environmentally-friendly Stella is a family car teched out by NXP Semiconductors N.V. and designed by the Netherlands-based Solar Team Eindhoven.

Imagine the truckloads of cash you will be saving on fuel costs with this four-seater that reaches a top speed of 120 km/h. That is, if the COE doesn’t empty out your bank account first.

Given that National Geographic is a treasure trove of stunning photographs, it is only natural that the nature channel teams up with imaging professional Canon to mark its 125th anniversary.

Aside from a photo exhibition held at the East Court of Vivocity, the National Geographic Channel will also be airing two one-hour specials commissioned by Canon.

If you’ve missed 125th: Photos that Amaze Us, don’t fret, there’s still The Killer Shot: Lost Eden with Tim Laman airing at 8pm on 10th November during the EOS Amazing Photo Hour.

And if you’d like to get in on all that celebratory action, the Explore to Inspire Photo Contest is open to photography fiends here.
