As each day brings us nearer to MWC 2015, a fresh set of rumours and leaks surrounding devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 spill onto the web. And they’re worthy of your undivided attention.
Some of the latest evidence highlight the alleged fact that the upcoming Samsung smartphone will boast a smaller 5in display, rather than the 5.something / 6in other sources have speculated in the past.
This information comes thanks to an Indian import tracking website, Zauba, which specifies that two units of the smartphone have entered the country for testing purposes. Comparing this purported display size to the official Samsung Galaxy S5, it is 0.1mm smaller than the latter.
If there’s any truth to this claim, it would be the first time in its history that the unit gets downsized.

A set of drawings of a case for the device has also made its way online, detailing some of its dimensions. The inner dimensions of the case are speculated to be143.5 x 70.7 x 7.2mm, which should be the measurements of the purported Galaxy S6.
More details show a massive cutout on the back of the case, possibly making way for a larger camera and sensor cluster on the back of the smartphone. As per the other Samsung devices, there are also cutouts on the left and right for the volume button and power button respectively.
On the bottom, there seems to be cutouts for a microphone, USB port and a speaker, while the top shows modifications for a 3.5mm headphone jack and a secondary noise-cancelling microphone.
Zauba also sheds light on the import price of the unit, which is INR 25,169 (S$551), but it’s highly unlikely that it will be the retail price of the device. Hang on till MWC 2015 to find out the official details.
