There’s more to the high-end smartphone world than Apple and Samsung.
Sony took the wraps off its latest flagship devices at IFA - the Xperia XZ and X Compact.
For first dibs, pre-orders start 30 September till 7 October at your friendly neighbourhood Sony Store or Centre and they will be available on 15 October.
The 5.2in Xperia XZ is quite the smartphone beast. Under the hood are a Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM and a 2900mAh battery to make it the smoothest operator in the Sony Xperia family. Its 23MP camera shoots 4K video with 5 axis-stabilisation to keep videos free from weird judder when you’re filming on the go. Combined with laser fast autofocus and predictive tracking, action shots will never pass you by in a blur again. Sony hasn’t neglected its front camera either, fitting it with 13MP of selfie-taking prowess.
The Xperia XZ comes with a hybrid dual-SIM slot and 64GB of storage that’s expandable to 256GB for all the photos you’ll be accumulating with it.
The powerful Xperia XZ is priced at S$998, which is quite a bit cheaper than the iPhone 7 Plus or Samsung Note 7. Read our review to see if it’s worth the investment.
