Could this be the next Xiaomi Redmi Note?

A few Xiaomi phones have surfaced on TENAA, hinting at new Redmi phones

TENAA's always been a good source for upcoming phone details and this time new Xiaomi phones have emerged on the database, which look like new Redmi models.

The next budget Note

This new device could be a Redmi Note variant, as it's larger than the standard 5.5in Note. With a 5.9in, 18:9 LCD screen and 2160 x 1080 resolution it might be the Redmi Note 5 Pro, perhaps. It weighs 179.5g with the dimensions stated as 158.5 x 75.45 x 8.05 mm.

Another bit about the display, it's wide but not quite edge-to-edge. Less bezel but not as minimal as the Mi Mix phones, likely due to it being in Xiaomi's budget range. As for the processor, it's running an undisclosed 2GHZ octa-core chipset which could be the MediaTek Helio P25 or perhaps Qualcomm's Snapdragon 630.

The camera is stated to be a 12MP rear camera with a 5MP front camera. At the back there will also be a dual-tone LED flash. Other details of the phone include dual-SIM support with a hybrid SIM slot, LTE, rear-mounted fingerprint reader, IR blaster, Bluetooth 4.2 and support for dual-band Wi-Fi a/c. Software-wise, it will be using Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with a MIUI 9 ROM, while RAM could come in 3GB and 4GB variants, with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage options.

Looks like a China launch is imminent now it's popped up on TENAA. Watch this space for updates once the official name of the model is released.
