As if Circles.Life hadn't shaken up the market enough with its 20GB for $20 data upgrade plan in March, the renegade telco company is back to lure more customers into its lair with an offer that will be tough to beat.
Today it rolled out the region's first try-before-you-buy plan, offering anyone a free SIM-only line stocked with 20GB of monthly local data, 100 minutes of talktime and 20 SMS messages, with no hidden costs like delivery or registration fees.
Called Circles Switch, the scheme is targeted at people whose telco contracts are coming to an end and who are tired of being tied to such binding agreements. It will be offered till 31 Dec this year.
Similar to other free trials from companies like Netflix, customers who try out Circles Switch will automatically be switched over to a full Circles.Life base plan after the free period is over, though they can cancel any time before the free period ends to avoid being charged.
Rameez Ansar, co-founder and director of Circles.Life, said: "We want people to feel the power of an end-to-end digital telco service, We want people to feel the power of a Circles.Life no-contract plan over so-called 'subsidised' 24-month contract plans.
"Circles Switch makes it possible for people to try out our service for free. We are doing this because we are confident they will switch to a full Circles.Life plan."
The move comes as the Singapore postpaid operator moves into its first international market, Indonesia, where it plans to launch a mobile service next year.
