The Asus ROG GT51 is a rich gamer's weapon of choice

Money definitely can buy power, in this case a powerful gaming desktop

If someone were to ask what we'll be buying if we struck the lottery right now, it's got to be the Asus ROG GT51 gaming desktop.

Just to put it out there, the reason why you'll need deep pockets for this behemoth machine will become apparent when we tell you the price: an astounding S$7498.

Okay, so it's a bit on the steep side but wait till you get a load of the specs on this desktop. For one, you don't just get any normal graphics card powering the system. It's the monstrous 2-way SLI NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X. Throw in the latest 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor with full-core Turbo Gear overclocking up to 4.6GHz and you can see why it commands this premium price.

The geek overload continues with a liquid-cooled Hydro Overclocking System for the processor. You know, just in case you abuse the poor system from an endless gaming session and it needs a bit of a cooldown, along with air channels for the graphics card to keep the temperature in check. Pretty colours adorn the chassis too, with a dynamic 8-million-colour LED effects spread across four zones.

Too expensive, eh? We feel you, and apparently so does Asus. One tier down is the mid-range model, which costs S$4298. For that, you get a pair of Nvidia GTX 980 graphics card handling the load. Still can't bear to part with that much cash? Then it's the entry-level model for you, costing S$3498 and powered by just one Nvidia GTX 980 graphics card.
