Apple iWatch looks likely to launch alongside the iPhone 6 in September

We could see Apple's timepiece hit the stage in five months' time

Apple will reveal the iWatch in September alongside the iPhone 6, if the latest rumours are to be believed.

The news comes courtesy of Taiwan’s Economic Daily News which reports that Apple suppliers TPK, Richtek and Quanta Computer have all been ordered to start production on various iWatch components.

The iWatch’s touch panel will be supplied by TPK, while the actual body will be manufactured by Quanta Computer.

Apple has also apparently outsourced the production of the iWatch’s processor to Samsung, and it has allegedly requested that all suppliers involved in iWatch production begin to deliver their products in August.

A joint iWatch and iPhone 6 launch makes sense, and we expect Apple to show off how both of its latest shiny iThings are able to interact with each other on stage.

The iWatch is expected to track various health stats with a a variety of UV and IR sensors, and you’ll be able to monitor everything in iOS 8‘s new Healthbook app.

That’s all we know for the time being, but stay tuned for more updates as and when we get them.
