2014 Review: these are what you've been Googling through the year

Google’s just released its top search terms for 2014, and they’re interesting to say the least.

You can expect the usual international events that shook the world: MH370, World Cup 2014, and Ebola. But searched terms that are truly local include the exiled Anton Casey, the (n)evergreen Singapore Sports Hub, as well as the later infamous Jover Chew.

In terms of what kept our eyes and ears occupied, the top three trending movies are Godzilla, Divergent, and Interstellar in ascending order. Songs we wanted to find out more about include Blank Space, Say Something, and the ever present Let It Go.  

Here’s something more relevant; the trending gadgets of 2014 are as follows:

  2. Galaxy Note 4
  3. Galaxy S5
  4. iPhone 6 Plus
  5. iPad Air 2

Guess it goes to show that the Apple - Samsung rivalry continues even on Google Search.
