Vans and The North Face partner up to produce an ace all-weather skate shoe

Look good, stay warm

What do you get if you combine an iconic skate shoe with an equally iconic outdoor clothing company? The Vans x The North Face collection – that’s what. A variety of products make up the new winter collab (check them out here), but we were particularly drawn to the – deep breath – Vans x The North Face SK8-HI 46 MTE, available now for £105. It’s a rugged reimagining of Vans’ long-serving high top, but this shoe is made of the same ultra-durable material as The North Face’s Base Camp Duffel. Whether you’re skateboarding or stomping through a frost-bitten forest, the weather-resistant leather should cope just fine, while MTE 360 technology retains heat when needed to keep your precious toesies toasty.

About

I'm fascinated by all things tech, but if you were going to leave me on a desert island, I'd probably ask for my Nintendo Switch, a drone, and a pair of noise-cancelling cans to block out the relentless seagull racket. When I'm not on Stuff duty you'll probably find me subscribing to too many podcasts, playing too many video games, or telling anyone who will listen that Spurs are going to win a trophy this season.

Areas of expertise

Video games, VR, smartwatches, headphones, smart speakers, bizarre Kickstarter campaigns
