It’s been nearly a year since we were first introduced to Vinci, a pair of ludicrously ambitious smart headphones that the world just wasn’t quite ready for. In addition to wirelessly streaming your music without the need for a tethered phone, the enormous cans featured voice assistant integration and - bafflingly - had an outward-facing 3.2in touchscreen that alerted the entire tube carriage to your power ballad playlist. The streamlined Vinci 2.0 buds boast an equally enviable feature set, but crucially don’t look like they’re made exclusively for extras in a Daft Punk video. Support for both cellular and WiFi means you can go for a jog without your phone, all while breathlessly issuing orders to Alexa. Failing that, there’s always the option of controlling Spotify with gestures, because why not? Add in eight modes of noise cancellation, all-day battery life and a full helping of fitness tracking capabilities, and you’ve got a pair of headphones from the damn future. Back them on Kickstarter from $89 (S$120).
