Up that conference room game

We’ve all been there — the awkward work conference call where the audio is choppy and everyone’s too embarrassed to ask the guy on the other line to repeat what he just said. Jabra looks to end all that nonsense with some upgrades to its enterprise-grade Speak series. The 710 comes with an omni-directional microphone so you can be heard from anywhere in the room, HiFi grade audio quality and a solid 15 hours of battery life. It connects via USB or Bluetooth 4.2 to all major UC platforms with a wireless range of up to 30 metres, while the Smart button lets you harness the power of Siri, Google Now and MS Cortana to activate apps or voice-controlled speed dial. Got a big office? You can link up to two 710s together so you can blast Semisonic’s Closing Time across the office on Friday evenings. The Speak 710 costs S$525 — but that’s a small price to pay for a big boost in productivity.
