Spotify is a great music streaming app. But aside from syncing your phone and listening to your tunes, it has so much more to offer.
If you’re paying for a premium account, you might as well get your money’s worth. Here are the top eight things you never knew you could do on Spotify, for both mobile and desktop versions.
Touch to preview
Spotify has added new gestures to its mobile app to make interaction a lot easier. Now you can swipe left on a song to add it to My Music (swipe left once more to remove it), or swipe a track right to add it to your play queue. and our personal favourite is something called Touch Preview.
Make it happen: First of all, make sure your Spotify app is updated. Touch Preview is exactly what it sounds like. If you’re already listening to music, but you’re browsing the app and come across a song you want to listen to, all you need to do is press and hold and the app will stop playing your song momentarily to play you a snippet of the new one. To return to what you were listening to, just lift your finger and you will be taken back to the exact same spot in your previous song.
For: Mobile (iOS for now)
