It's a bird, it's a plane, it's superhero season once again.
With upcoming flicks such as the highly anticipated Wonder Woman, Justice League, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and more, there's still a ton to look forward to for the rest of the year. Don't believe us? Read on and mark your calendars.
Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2 (4 May)
Get set for a whole lot of new tunes with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. With chiselled Drax joining the now-quintuple, the charming lot sets out to search for Star Lord's father, presumed to be of ancient origins (Ego). While the film’s premise centres on that of family ties, expect lots of action packed and adorable Baby Groot moments. We know the latter is what you're really watching the film for.
Wonder Woman (1 June)
Born an Amazonian princess, Diana Prince encounters an American military pilot Steve Trevor, when he's washed ashore on the island of Themysica. Before you scoff at the possible stereotypical romance between soldier and princess, Wonder Woman portrays parity between the characters according to the director, although this could very well possibly be a shot at getting the iconic comic hero back her UN title. A must-watch if you're fiercely feminist or just a hardcore superhero film buff.
Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (1 June)
The hero of every kids' dreams, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie makes its debut come June. Based off the endearing Captain Underpants series, George Beard and Harold Hutchins are two overly imaginative children that hypnotize their awful principal Mr Kripp to becoming an unlikely superhero dressed in nothing but a cape and adult diapers. This departure from the usual Marvel/DC universe is a superhero treat for the younglings.
