Another year gone by, another league of stellar phones released.
2016 has set the bar high for the phones that will be on the wishlist of every consumer. From the gorgeous S7 Edge with its beautiful curves to the media making machine that is the LG V20, there was a phone for everyone. These are 5 of our favourites, regardless of size, price and colour.
Which deserves the crown? The power to decide is yours.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
This is the only time you want to live life on the edge. With a pixel-loaded 5.5-in display, the S7 Edge is a sight to behold whether you’re reading emails or watching Korean dramas on the MRT. With a battery that won’t quit, it’s one of our favourite all-rounders.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus
This was the year the bigger iPhone 7 Plus became more than just the bigger iPhone. With its additional camera came the power of Portrait mode and 2x optical zoom, making the iPhone line even better at the photography game. Coupled with the shiny new Jet Black outfit, it was the IT phone of its time. Bigger really is better.
Huawei Mate 9
Two are better than one in the case of the Mate 9’s individual colour and black and white sensors. The Mate 9 knows the camera is one of the most important aspects of a smartphone thus it’s really gone all out with the Leica tech-spertise.
The LG V20 is a dream to create with. Featuring fully customisable controls for video and images, the giant screened smartphone provides room for your creativity to grow. Armed with a second screen, it’s got enough to set it apart and removeable battery, a rarity amongst phones these days.
Sony Xperia XZ
There’s no need to ask “Y” with the Xperia XZ (sorry). The 5.2in phone is an ergonomic looker with that typical minimalist styling. Its 23MP camera is a force to reckon with and it’s also waterproof to boot. It might not come with a whole lot of bells and whistles, but it’s still a solid contender for the flagship crown.
