Stuff Picks: the gadgets to get on 4/10

Pay day is in, and so are these gadgets

Canon LV-WX320 and LV-X320 (S$1,099 and S$949 respectively)

These Digital Light Processing (DLP) projectors project with 3,200 lumens of brightness with a contrast ratio of up to 10,000:1 depending on lighting, and resolution as high as 1,280x800 (LV-WX320) and 1,024x768 (LV-X320).

Very portable at 2.5kg, both models have VGA and HDMI input ports, Mobile High-definition Link (MHL) interface which enables images to be projected from a smartphone or tablet.

The projectors have a long lamp life span of about 6,000 hours and is filter-free which eliminates hassle and also cost of replacing the air filter. The ‘Direct Power Off’ feature turns the projectors off by just pulling the power cable off after use and can be stowed immediately without needing to cool off first.

With DLP ‘BrilliantColor’ technology, rich colours can be rendered and this technology also allows for the projection of 3D images coupled with the use of DLP link 3D glasses.

Jabra Eclipse (S$219)

Weighing just 5.5g, this is Jabra’s lightest headset which goes great with its pocket-sized carry case which doubles as a portable charger. The premium grade music speaker offers superior sound quality whether it’s a business call, listening to your messages (available only on Android), or just listening to music on the go. Only a tap to the touch sensor enables its user to switch from one audio experience to another.

Dyson Fluffy V6 (From $1049)

This cordless vacuum cleaner offers the power of a full size vacuum cleaner with 2 Tier Radial cyclones which work to capture fine dust and dirt on any surface. Carbon fibre anti-static bristles reduce static build-up and nylon bristles work to trap dirt from carpets. The Dyson Fluffy will run for 20 minutes, 17 minutes with the motorised tool and six minutes on boost mode

Dyson V6 Mattress (S$499)

With an engine that spins up to five times faster than a Formula One engine, it generates constant suction which allows this vacuum to penetrate deep into the mattress to remove potential allergens. Dyson’s Root Cyclone Technology spins dust and dirt out of the air and into the bin while particles such as allergens and bacteria (0.3 microns) are trapped by the post motor filter. The entire system is airtight and the air that leaves the machine is actually cleaner than the air you breathe.

Klipsch Reference R6i On-Ear (S$199)

Passive noise-isolation in these on-ear headphones means ambient noise is reduced with memory foam ear cups. Three-button remote and mic allows for fluid control of music and phone calls on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPod models.
