Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II (S$669)

Instead of a ton of complicated functions and a bunch of modes you’ll never use, sometimes you just want a reliable camera that takes nice pictures. The G9 X II does a fine job of point and shoot snapping, thanks to its 1in image sensor which produces high image clarity, even in low-light conditions.

It’s equipped with the latest DIGIC 7 image processor that delivers accurate touch detection and precision tracking of subjects. It also offers a host of connectivity options, with built-in Wi-Fi and NFC functions so you can share your snaps and videos on social media at the tap of a button. Plus the leather accents make this one fine-looking camera.

Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 (S$2399)

If you’ve got lots of spare cash and enjoy pretty things, consider this luxury edition of the Mate 9. At 5.5in, its display is smaller than the regular Mate 9 but has a higher 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution with stunning colour and detail.

It’s speedy too thanks to the new Kirin 960 processor and a whopping 6GB of RAM, plus built in storage of 256GB. A 4000mAh battery with SuperCharge technology rushes to 58 percent capacity in 30 minutes and a dual-lens Leica camera on the back makes this gorgeous phone an all around winner — if you’ve got the money to burn.
