Singtel vs M1 vs StarHub: how the telcos' coverage fare across Singapore

The results, according to OpenSignal, might surprise you

In a recent report from internet-firm, OpenSignal, Singapore was voted as having the fastest mobile data speeds in the world.

As any frequent traveller can attest, the wide coverage, ease of use and fast speeds of mobile data here are really hard to beat.

However, while all this is well and good, most Singaporeans can attest to the fact that in some areas of the country, you just can't get a decent signal even though you may still be in a developed area.

We decided to take a deeper look at OpenSignal's data to try to give you a good idea of where our three telcos stand on coverage so that you know the best provider for your area of Singapore.

For this test, we are focusing on 4G signal only from the three telcos. We suggest you start off with an overview of each telco's performance. Check back often because we'll be monitoring the coverage throughout the year and let you know if your next telco should be Singtel, StarHub or M1
