It's all in the game. And when WWE fans gather for a night of food, drinks and a preview of the new WWE 2K16, it's a recipe for fun.
On 28 October, both Stuff Singapore readers and 2K Games fans were invited to have an early hands-on with 2K Games' latest wrestling title. At Stuff, it's our mission to show you what's next, and what better way to do that than inviting our loyal readers to OSG Bar+ for a night of gaming.
WWE 2K16, which is now available, comes with a load of new features such as more realistic fights with run ins and interferences, plus interviews that'll determine your character's attitude to other players.
During the three-hour session, we also asked our fans what they loved about the new features of the games, and this is what they've had to say.
The biggest roster ever in WWE 2K16
Based on fans' feedback, 2K Games added a roster that numbers over 120 playable characters, inclduing wrestlers of past and present for the most epic match-up. During the session, we see fans getting excited at choosing old-school favourites such as Ultimate Warrior and The Rock, matching them against the current NXT line-up.
In short, it's a dream come true for WWE fans to pit their heroes (and villains) of days gone by against their current favourites.
Creation Suite - customisation galore
One common favourite is the stronger customisation options, which also allows you to scan your face and have it imprinted on your character. Needless to say, some fans were thrilled with the prospect of seeing themselves going up against wrestling legends such as Steve Austin.
MyCareer Mode - moving up the NXT ladder
The MyCareer mode gets a massive upgrade, and fans were pleased with the tons of cool features. The excitement over the prospect of rising through the ranks to join NXT and gunning for a Hall of Fame induction can be seen in their eyes. Plus, newly introduced interviews that turn your players against or ally with another character drives the drama behind the game.
2K Showcase - the most epic Steve Austin matches
Get ready to raise some hell with Steve Austin. More than that, 2K Games included historical matches that pit Stone Cold versus his various nemesis, including The Rock and epic matches from previous Wrestlemania.
When we last spoke to fans, they were able to name some of their favourite matches, proving their undying love for the WWE franchise.
WWE 2K16 is now available on Microsoft Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3.
