In this day and age, who isn’t a remote worker in their own way?
Instead of the undeniable comfort and privacy of your own home, or possibly the most conducive setting of the library, here is a list of cafés where you can tap on their free Wi-Fi and InstaStalk in secrecy – just sip your coffee slowly. Very slowly.
1) MOMO CAFÉ
Embedded along the trendy Duxton Road is Momo Café, a space with black walls, dark furniture and warm ‘mood’ lighting that will put anyone at ease. Settle in the comfy seats of this darker-than-usual café and blend in with the others already typing away on laptops. Momo Café is the perfect intimate setting for friends to huddle over a Facebook profile.
Address: 47 Duxton Road, Singapore 089511
2) THE PASS WINE BISTRO & BAR
Café and bistro by day, wine bar by night, The Pass is a small hole-in-the-wall along Club Street. The modern café is brightly lit, adorned with light wood and a lively turquoise. You can choose to sit alfresco overlooking the street, or one of the booth seats inside the narrow and deep room for more privacy.
After six, the lights are dimmed and the music is turned up, so close your laptop and unwind with a glass of wine (you’ll make the manager real happy).
Address: 93 Club Street, Singapore 069461
