Joseph Schooling sets internet into overdrive with history-making Olympic Gold

For the first time in forever, Singapore woke up early on a Saturday to watch the Olympics

It's Singapore's first ever Olympic Gold win, and it's all thanks to Joseph Schooling.

The 21-year-old Singaporean scored the win with his racetime of 50.39s in the men's 100m butterfly event. He also broke the Olympic record of 50.58s, set by Michael Phelps during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Safe to say, news of his win also broke the internet this morning, and every Singaporean's social feed. Scroll down to bask in the warmth of good vibes and Olympic Gold glory.
