The HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 were two of last year’s best Android phones, so it’s no suprise that their successors are prime candidates for the Best Phone in the World 2014 title.

Design: metal vs plastic
Fact: metal is always more appealing than plastic when it comes to smartphone bodies, so the One (M8)’s aluminium unibody design gives it a big advantage over the Galaxy S5’s polycarbonate chassis.
