At last count, there are more than three million Facebook users in Singapore.
And with so many users around, you'd expect a flurry of unrelated activity as everyone goes about their own lives, sharing unique updates about themselves that populate other people's newsfeed.
However, upon closer inspection, you'd realise how everyone is displaying the same kind of behaviour. They tend to mirror each other's annoying habits and inherit the worst traits. After a while, you can break them down into categories as you analyse how Facebook users follow a stereotypical pattern of posting updates.
Don’t believe us? See if you fit into any of the nine most annoying types of Facebook behaviour in Singapore.
1. Pointless status updater
Habit: Known to post inane status updates such as "Going to reach the lecture hall *insert smiley face*" or "Long day ended! I can sleep in tomorrow!" Thinks social media was invented for letting other people who are not curious about your life know more about you.
Who they are in real life: Unimaginative, introverted and probably socially awkward. Could be a paper-pushing office worker who does not dare to step out of self-limiting boundaries. Craves attention though.
