Xiaomi's latest flagship might be the company's best yet. Here's what's most impressive about the Mi Note 2.
1. This is Xiaomi's first curved display
If the Mi Note 2 looks familiar, it utilises a 5.7in curved OLED display similar to the Samsung Edge range.
However the design is also somewhat reminiscent of the iPhone 7 Plus, especially its slightly tapered curves at the edges. Xiaomi says the curved design creates what it calls the "perfect fit" for the hand.
2. It might be the cheapest Snapdragon 821 phone so far
The phone sports the highest-end mobile processor at the moment: the Snapdragon 821, seen only on the highest-end flagship grade phones.
However prices start from RMB2799 (S$575) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant, which is frankly the cheapest we've seen so far for phones sporting the processor. In contrast, the first phone to use the Snapdragon 821, the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe costs S$1188 for the 6GB/256GB variant. The 6GB/128GB version of the Mi Note 2 costs only RMB3499 (S$720).
