Remember that Apple announcement of 100 million iPods a few months back? Well, now Microsoft's got one of its own.Its millionth Zune has just been taken home by an eager buyer, hitting Bill Gates' first milestone ahead of time. Cue pats on back and cigars all round.Of course, it's still a tiny number in comparison to the legion of iPods out there but it does represent a neat 10 per cent chunk of the MP3 player market, making Microsoft the second biggest manufacturer in the US – behind you know who.And in the UK? Well, erm, we still haven't been offered the Zune – last ETA: sometime by Christmas. iPod it is, then.
