Tables are so dull. Four legs, a top, perhaps the odd drawer: nothing to write home about. But arcade tables, well, now we’re talking.British firm Surface Tension has resurrected this youth-wasting denizen of the coin-op arcade and rebooted it for the 21st century. Beneath the shiny smoked glass exterior is a moderately charged Pentium 4 processor and half gig of RAM. It's not likely to give the latest Alienware offering a run for its money but more than enough to handle the raft of retro titles it hosts (think Pac Man, Space Invaders, that sort of thing). In a concession to the couch, the two sets of controllers lie side by side rather than opposite each other, head to head style, but authentic 1up and 2up buttons are retained. Being a fully-fledged Windows PC it'll also browse the interweb and stream music wirelessly. It also does a mean job of supporting coffee cups.If you want to bag one you'll need to get your name down. There's currently a four-week wait.
