Last year XtremeMac brought us the Luna and a nation could finally awake to radio or iPod. Decisions, decisions.

Now it's rocked up at Macworld '08 with a sequel, cunningly titled the Luna X2. Sporting an all black finish, it gets smoothly rounded corners and a fabric covered grille to go with your soft furnishings.

Like last year's model, the outsize display shows the time in bingo marker-size numbers to cater for bleary-eyed hangover haze.

No DAB, but it does get AM as well as FM for a spot of Five Live's Nicky Campbell in the morning.

Naturally it's best suited for bedside duty, but XtremeMac say it will pump out more room-filling sounds if called upon. Finally we can have that pyjama party we were always hoping for.
