The appearance of a pocket-sized Xbox console could coincide with the Christmas launch of the Mini HD DVD disc format, which was announced today by the Taiwan World Association of Technology.
By utilising the new Mini HD-DVD disc, Microsoft could produce a much more sophisticated handheld console than the current offerings from Sony and Nintendo. It even opens up the possibility that Microsoft could produce a fully featured Xbox 360 in a handheld form factor - in other words, the much-rumoured Xbox 361.
