It’s already the fastest–selling game ever on the Xbox, and now the Big M is claiming they’re outselling their Sony rivals by a massive 2:1.
According to Next–Gen, Aaron Greenberg, who takes care of product management for the 360, reckons retailers are seeing a massive demand for the game on his hub.
Sony, however, is having none of it, and is refusing to comment until official stats are released. Based on the experience of ourselves and readers though, it seems fair to say the Xbox edition is winning, with the game sold out in plenty of stores.
Official stats, for the UK at least, show the Xbox beating the PS3 by 335,000 copies to 274,000. Not quite 2:1 but still a good deal more.
Both companies have pumped thousands into their GTA IV campaigns, with Microsoft pushing their £159 360 Arcade and Sony releasing a special PS3 bundle.
