Rumour has it that Microsoft is to follow in the footsteps of its big rivals Sony by launching an Xbox 360 Slim alongside Project Natal this year.
It's thought the skinnier console could be packed into a bundle with Natal, and would be aimed at prolonging the lifecycle of the 360.
Other hints towards a slimmer console include pictures of a new smaller 360 motherboard leaking on the net recently, and Microsoft's announcement of the standalone 250GB hard drive. A slimmer console would no doubt have to compromise on on-board storage, but detatchable storage would make the compromise easier to make.
Microsoft has rolled out its standard "we don't comment on rumour or speculation" line when asked about all of the above, so you can stick this firmly in the rumour pile for now.
We'll be keeping our ears to ground to see what the whispers have to say over the coming months. Could we see a slimmer Xbox 360 at this year's E3 in June? Be sure to check out our 5 things you need to know about Project Natal, and let us know your predicions.
