Wippit, which claims to be the second most popular download service in the UK (a claim shared by mobile operator 3) has just got bigger.Deals signed with musical gatekeepers CD Baby, The Digital Rights Agency, IODA, Orchard and VUT have added 2.4 million tracks to its catalogue.MainstreamThat includes bands like Coldplay, Green Day, Snoop Dogg and Ludacris who now join the mainly indie labels already available.Around 60,000 tracks are free at any one time on its all-you-can eat subscription service. With no DRM protection to stop songs being played once the subscription ends, don't expect many of the premium artists to be on there. Instead most will be available on a standard pay-as-you-download basis – but members who pay their £4.99 a month subs will get a discount.
