Win a holiday in hell (well, San Francisco) with Dante's Inferno

Gamers are lambasted the world over for being brain-dead coach liggers. However, we know behind the sweaty palms and glazed expression lurks a keen intellectual brain well versed in the classics. As long as they’re suitably horror-flavoured.

The makers of the suspense-filled Dead Space have turned their hand to Dante’s Inferno, taking the basic theme of a descent into hell and turning it into a full-blown scare-fest of a video game.

And if you add ‘aspiring film-maker’ to your talents, then you could win a trip to San Francisco – not exactly hell on Earth - by making EA Games an official trailer for Dante’s Inferno.

The 14th Century Italian poet wrote his epic poem in 33 cantos, so you’re given 33 days to make a 33 second video trailer using vids and stills downloadable from the game site.

The winner will be jetting off to San Fran to meet the designers just after having their trailer screened at the Sci-Fi London Film Festival. Sounds like a hell of a prize, eh? Sigh. We’re going to hell for that one.
