A new patent filed by Nokia has come to light, that shows the Finnish phone giant has been throwing around the idea of flexible displays.
Filed back in 2008, the application covers a "user interface, device and method for a physically flexible device". Now we're not quite sure how this would work, but Nokia has suggested the idea could be used for more than just making a device more pocket-friendly.
In fact, the patent includes ideas such as bending the phone into a particular shape to perform a certain task – for example rolling it into a can shape would kick off a search for the nearest bar or pub.
Future-tastic, but we're not quite sure how many shapes you could make with a phone. An interesting concept perhaps, but maybe one we won't be seeing come to market... at least for some time.
How would you make use of a bendy phone? Let us know below.
