Japanese and US Wii owners are already getting their download on with WiiWare, and today, finally, we’re getting in on the action with our very own version, Wii Software.

The new online service, where top–notch developers and homebrew addicts can deposit their work, will give you the chance to play a slew of neat new titles from a mere 900 points.

The list of games at launch, which we brought you just last week, includes Dr. Mario & Germ Buster, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, Lost Winds, Pirates: The Key of Dreams, Pop, Star Soldier R, Toki Tori and TV Show King.

Nintendo has promised us that we’ll be getting regular updates, as they plan to take on and destroy Xbox Live Arcade. Considering how many units they’re still shifting, we wouldn’t be surprised if this keeps the Wii on the top of the console charts for months to come and gives Sony and the Big M a proper smackdown.

So fire up your Wii now, check out the new channel and be sure to let us know what you think of the new games in the comments section.
