Wii mic on the way from EA

It may not end up looking quite like our mock-up but Alfredo Chavez, EA's gameplay producer for new game Boogie (pictured), has said a Wii microphone will be making an appearance this year.Despite our efforts with a Wii remote and a piece of foam, it looks like it might be a wired affair, plugging in via the USB port. Here’s hoping that the plug-in bit will be for some sort of wireless dongle, otherwise we can see some serious living room tangles as we dance round the furniture in our own inimitable style. From what we've seen of Boogie it'll be a dancing and singing game, with a prancing, sea urchin version of John Travolta as host, who sports hands, legs and chest hair – interesting.
