Much as we adore Virtual Console downloads of Nintendo classics, there's only so much retro gaming we can take before we itch for some next-gen action.Until now that's meant slipping in a disc but from next year we'll also have the option of putting our Wii points towards full Wii titles in the Shop Channel.As with the PS3 and Xbox 360, the downloadable games - or 'WiiWare' - will be smaller than off-the-shelf titles but cheaper too. Nintendo's also relaxing its approval process which should make it easier for independent developers to get their games out there.We're expecting the first consignment some time next year.
