Nokia’s N series might fill your quotient for obscene gadget one-upmanship. But if cash is tighter than Johnny Borrell’s jeans and that N95 8GB seems like an ungainly breezeblock, the new 6300i is where it’s at.
Packing in Wi-Fi and Nokia Maps, stashed on a 512MB card, the new model is a step up from the bestselling 6300. According to the guys at NokNok, it also comes with an Opera Mini browser, a 2.5mm audio jack and a standard QVGA 2-inch screen.
Adding Wi-Fi means free VoIP calls are there for the taking, as long as you’re in an area pulsating with wireless. Which just so happens to be most of London and all of, er, Norwich.
More details remain sketchy, but if it’s priced on the right side of £100, like the original 6300, you’re looking at one hell of a budget blower.
