Here’s the first full pic of Vodafone’s new Palm Treo. The UK network’s been taking pre-orders having seen just an enigmatic close-up of the keyboard. Now here it is in its full glory. And we can firm up some of those details. The Microsoft-based palmtop is indeed the first Palm to run Windows Mobile 5.0 and, as we confidently, ahem, dismissed, it does in fact have high-speed HSDPA 3G data. The pictures also reveal a sleek handset bereft of the usual stubby aerial but with a 1.3megapixel camera. Inside, Blackberry-style push email makes the most of the full QWERTY keypad. Palm-touches remain, such as the chat-style text messaging application ported directly from the Palm OS-based Treos. We particularly like the quick ignore feature which fires off a ‘can’t talk – in meeting’ text message when you reject a call. Business users are getting first dibs but expect to see it in Vodafone’s stores shortly.
