This morning over 150 iPhone disciples filed down to their church, Apple's flagship store on Regent St. And the big news is that, despite claims to the contrary from O2, 16GB white iPhone 3Gs have been on sale in the store.
Many punters have been leaving because the queues are too long, which hasn't been helped by the fact that it's been taking an hour to activate each phone. And the pressure got too much for O2's activation system, which crashed. Jobsy will no doubt be burning his turtleneck jumpers with frustration if he hears about this.
Still, there have been some happy customers – the first guy in the queue bought his place for £40 on eBay and is no doubt now sauntering around Soho flaunting his prized asset. Anyway, we're off to see if we can sneak back into the queue – look out for our live video coverage from the launch soon.
