Western Digital launches WD TV Live with Spotify

Fancy peppering your home media experience with internet video and Spotify streaming?

Western Digital’s newly announced WD TV Live is a Wi-Fi infused streaming media player with 1TB of storage that comes packing Spotify’s streaming service straight out of the box.

Users will be able to create and update playlists as well as subscribing to other people’s offerings. The ability to send tracks directly to your friend’s inbox is another handy feature – as long as you don’t barrage them with your questionable musical tastes, of course.

As with WD’s previous players, this latest example lets you access media from connected USB devices and networked computers. You'll also be able to connect to a grab-bag of online services including, of course, YouTube and Facebook.

If you fancy watching videos of adorable kittens on your fancy HD telly then you’ll be glad to hear that the WD TV Live streaming player is available now for £90.
