Remember the good old days in the schoolyard, strutting around with your sleeve rolled up to show off the latest Casio calculator watch?

Well, those golden moments of youth could be yours once more. Strap on Italian techmeister Eurotech’s PC watch, the WWPC, and you’ll be the king of the playground all over again.

You’ll be able to share info and access services anywhere, even from the privacy of your lavatory cubicle, using the fully integrated GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Infrared. You’ll also be able to make yourself look busy and important by tapping at your wrist and fiddling with all the other bits an bobs: Mini SD memory slot, audio mini speakers, video, 65K colour touch screen display, direct-access keypad, USB port and headphone jack.

It’s a bit of an energy conserver too. The Li-ion power cell will keep it going for more than 8 hours. To spin out its battery life, it can detect the angle of your arm and if it is hanging down by your side will slip into stand-by mode.

The jury’s out, and, unfortunately, so are the Italian chaps and chapettes at Eurotech – they’ve left for the weekend. We’ll hopefully have pricing and a launch date for you on Monday. In the meantime, check out www.eurotech.com/wearable.
