I'm not saying I don't like the things – I myself am an owner of a mighty fine Plantronics Discovery 655 – but they are useful, rather than trendy, gadgets. Till now anyway.

Danish design wizards Bang & Olufsen have just dipped their immaculate toe into still Bluetooth headset waters with the Earset 2. Specifications are not B&O's thing, but the dual-microphone voice-isolation tech it employs may just work quite well. Talk time is 4 hours, standby is 100 hours, expected retail is US$250-300 and now I’m asleep.

And come to think of it, you may still look like a tool – albeit a rich one.
